Although The Weather Channel meteorologist Jim Cantore hasn’t yet revealed his planned deployment location for this weekend, he’s sounding a strong warning about an enormous winter storm poised to strike the Mid-Atlantic,
Cold weather alerts are now in effect statewide through Monday morning. The dangerous cold will be most intense late Sunday evening into Monday morning. If you must be outside, limit your time and dress in layers. Exposed skin can develop frostbite in 30 minutes or less.

A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect and will last until 9AM Monday morning. Overnight lows heading into Monday fall closer to -10 degrees. Wind chills waking up Monday morning will be between -15 and -30 degrees. Temperatures pick up in the daytime and make their way into the mid to upper 20s. It looks to be a mostly sunny day.
At least 20 states have declared a state of emergency as a significant winter storm hits much of the United States.
