Millions of people in New York City and a large swath of the northeastern U.S. were stuck at home under road travel bans and blizzard warnings Monday as heavy snow and strong winds intensified, creating whiteout conditions in the densely populated region.
The blizzard has canceled and delayed flights nationwide. The Boston Globe said the snow is so heavy that it won’t be able to print paper versions of its newspaper for delivery tomorrow. The newspaper called the decision “unprecedented” in its 153-year history.
