Google confirms Quick Share’s AirDrop-style sharing is expanding beyond Pixel to more Android devices in 2026, making file sharing far easier.

In November, Google linked its Android Quick Share feature to Apple's AirDrop for file transfers between the two mobile OSes.

Google has confirmed that Quick Share and AirDrop interoperability will expand to more Android devices in 2026, bringing seamless cross-platform file sharing to millions of users.

Interoperability between Android Quick Share and Apple’s AirDrop is currently limited to Pixel 10 phones.
