Showering can feel overwhelming for someone with dementia, especially when modesty is a concern. Here are three ways to help: Honor preferences. Respect their comfort level by choosing caregivers of the same gender if possible. Provide visual barriers. A towel or shower curtain can give privacy and reduce stress. Allow underwear.
