A Sharp-shinned hawk was found underneath a member of the public’s window. It looked as though the hawk was hunting for prey when they smashed into a kitchen window! The finder called Wild ARC and because hawks are extremely aggressive and can be dangerous, two of our staff who were close by, went out to contain and bring the hawk in for care. I looked out to find this Sharp-shinned Hawk feasting on one of the little birds that come visit everyday. The end is the best with a little tornado spinning him up up and away. He kept hold of his breakfast and there is no trace of the meal. We get these hawks every fall and they stock the birds and squirrels. I'm just glad it wasn't the baby squirrel. Eeks.
